Winery Features 

 Bodegas Valceniza has over 650 hectares of vineyard, most of which belongs to a volcanic terroir, with a high content in minerals. Altitude overall is very high, 650-1100m ensure high differences in temperature between day and night, which ensures the complexity expected in quality wines.

The winery located in the more important vineyard area. This proximity ensures that our most precious resources, the grapes, arrive at the winery in prime condition, without having to endure long road journeys.

We have invested heavily in modern winery equipment and installations. This investment has been concentrated on the items necessary for the production of high quality wines; temperature control, stainless steel tanks, pneumatic presses, new American and French barrels and a state-of-the-art bottling line. This investment continues year on year as we aim to achieve ever higher standards.

Wine Style 

Valceniza wines are remarkable for their complexity. All the wines show a graceful balance of fruitiness, chocolate and vanilla aromas from the oak, as well a sweet liquorice aftertaste, due to their concentration in minerals. This richness in flavors is present in the whole range, and the intensity of the aromas increases as we move upwards in the quality range. From the everyday tempranillos to the elegant old vine garnachas, all of them boast to have the soul of a fine wine.
